The Deep River Library Arts Committee is an all volunteer, non-profit group associated with the Deep River Public Library with a mandate to encourage and support local artists and artisans both professional and amateur by sponsoring exhibitions of their works for the pleasure and education of the viewing public.
Exhibitions are held in the program room of the Deep River Public Library and the Deep River Town Hall and are open to the public during business hours.
The Library Arts Committee provides planning, set-up, take-down, advertising and promoting support to exhibiting artists as required and subject to negotiations.
While the Library Arts Committee is non-profit making, an exhibition fee may be charged, along with a 15% commission on all sales made during the exhibition.
These funds help to cover the cost of maintaining the program room, advertising and opening night expenses.
