Information for Exhibitors
The Deep River Library Arts Committee invites applications to exhibit from residents of Ontario with preference being given to artists residing in the upper Ottawa Valley region, artists with historical ties to that same area and art works judged to be of regional interest.
The opportunities for solo and joint exhibitions are limited and are considered as space and scheduling permits. Exhibits are booked several months to two years in advance.
Art shows are held in the program room of the Deep River Public Library. The Program room has 2000 sq. ft. (186 sq, m) of floor space surrounded by 135 linear feet by 8 feet high of white wall space for exhibiting wall art. The room is located on the lower floor of the library with windows facing north-east. Track lighting is available to accent art work. For the program room layout drawings see the following links:
The program room is a multi-purpose room that is open to members of the public during most library hours. At other times and during exhibitions, the program room may be used for other library sponsored activities that are compatible with the exhibition, e.g. bridge games, meetings, exercise classes, etc. During our annual art exhibit in September, the program room will be made available for exclusive use enabling the entire room to be used for an art exhibition.
Shows run typically for two week periods.
